That one time I was on Power106, back in my Stacks Vinyl days; 2005 I think.
Thank you to legendary KDAY Mixmaster Tony G (AM Radio 1580 from the ’80s, not the newer one) for bringing me onto the show, and to pioneering program director and impresario Greg Mack for having me on the show! I was honored and humbled to have this experience.
DJ Dais is a single operator company, meaning the owner is your event day DJ & MC, as opposed to a multi-operator, where the boss of the company (the person with the most experience) DJs the highest paying event, while managing employees or contractors who are DJing smaller weddings contracted on the same event date under the same company (could be your wedding!) In a single op DJ company, there is only one contract accepted per event date, and you are always assured that you get DJ Dais, not a contractor or lesser experienced DJ & MC.
Recorded for a wedding around 2004, this was my first attempt at mixing Cumbia. Includes a fair amount of La Sonora Dinamita. Enjoy!
CD compilation I recorded in 2001 while in college. By far, the most duplicated mixtape I ever made; I estimate there’s over 10,000 copies out there. iTunes even populates the track names from their database LOL. It’s mostly 1980s Pop, New Wave and KROQ Flashbacks.
I’m not going to list track names for liability reasons here, but try the widget, it will give you the track names. Enjoy!
